Pottery is considered to be an important and famous art form from India. This is a ceramic ware which is created by the potters. The term “pottery” includes various things such as earthernware, stoneware and porcelain as well. The place where these items are made are commonly known as potteries. Pottery is actually shaping a mound of clay into various forms. After they are given required shape, they are heated in a high temperature which to the permanent shaping of the clay. The main tools used by the potter is his/her hand. Other than this, there is potter's wheel as well. Other than this, turntable, shaping tools, rolling tools, piercing tools and finishing tools.
